Jalsa hitting screens on April 2

Jalsa is releasing on April 2nd. Though it was earlier planned to release on March 28th, last minute postproduction delays led to the postponement. However, it is felt that this development would bring happiness to the audiences in view of the X class examinations. Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan has left for Scotland on a vacation and would be returning in the first week of April.

Priyamani’s yardstick to success
Priyamani, who made it big with Pellaina Kothalo and Yamadonga in Tollywood, is making waves in Tamil film industry too after the blockbuster Paruthi Veeran. The success mark prompted her to fix a yardstick for the advancement of her career. She believes that doing films with debut heroes and small-rung heroes might turn blockades in her path. “Doing with big heroes brings both economic and career growth. I have taken this decision only in the backdrop of the prevailing conditions in the industry. And I am not really against working with new or small heroes. Moreover, it is known fact that big heroes won’t encourage heroines who do with fresh or yet-to-be-established male leads,” Priyamani says.

Allu Arjun-Trisha for ‘Jab We Met’ remake

Earlier on it was announced that Uday Kiran and Trisha would be starring in the Telugu remake version of the popular Hindi film ‘Jab We Met’ starring Shahid and Kareena Kapoor in the lead. But now with Uday Kiran hurting himself in a recent incident and confined to bed rest, the film’s makers, Moserbaer, have roped in Allu Arjun to fill in Uday Kiran’s shoes. This is the first time that Allu Arjun and Trisha are paired opposite each other. Earlier on Trisha had co starred with Allu Arjun’s uncle Chiranjeevi for the hit film Stalin.

Director Uday Shankar arrested
Uday Shankar, the director of the untitled movie, starring Ravi Teja and Anushka, is arrested today in connection with the death of junior artiste Mahendra in Godavari river mishap near Purushottamapatnam, East Godavari district, few days ago. Earlier, the police also registered murder case against actress Anushka, who is said to have pushed Mahendra (dupe of hero Ravi Teja) into the river, as part of the film shoot.

Vishnu gets Jenda Pai Kapiraju

Jenda Pai Kapiraju is the name being considered for Krishnavamsi's next venture for producer Mohan Babu.

Vishnu is playing the hero and Neha Sharma (of Chirutha fame) has been selected as the heroine. The film will go to the floors shortly.

Mohan Babu is planning to produce it lavishly on his banner Sri Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures banner
