Lagadapati's film with new faces

Producer Lagadapati Sreedhar, who produced successful films like Evadigola Vadidhe and Style, is going to make a new film, starring debutants mostly. The subject is under planning. "I am keenly watching the trends in the industry. I believe that subject is always the king. I observe there is a pool of talented artistes, who wait for the opportunity to prove their mettle. Unfortunately, there are a good number of films which didn't run well for lack of publicity. With all this in my mind, I wish to be careful in doing a film with debutants. I am lucky that my production house is already a success with the audience. I don't mind risking with new faces," says Sreedhar.

Shreya slaps manhandler

Actress Shreya Saran showed her bold side when she visited the temple town of Tirupathi. As the actress was coming out of her morning darshan, she was approached by a very enthusiastic fan who shook the actress’ hand for quite some time. When Shreya expressed her discomfort the fan went ahead and tried to man handle her. At that point a well miffed Shreya slapped the offender but declined from filing a case. The offender, Hari, a cleaner at the Shankara Mutt, has reportedly fled from the town itself.

Bommarillu Bhaskar's next with hero Vikram!

Vikram is all set to do Telugu film. Although he had acted in many Telugu films before he became a star in Tamilnadu, he is still waiting for right script to do straight Telugu film. Finally, it seems everything has fallen in place. Bommarillu Bhaskar who is presently directing Parugu with Allu Arjun has been entrusted to the job. Sources inform us Vikram is impressed with the basic script narrated by Bhaskar.

This film will go to the sets in July this year and it is produced by 'Chatrapathi' Prasad. Producer Prasad is very close to Vikram and whenever Vikram lands in Hyderabad, he uses Prasad's car to roam in.

Happy Birthday to Akira

Today (8th) is the birthday of Akira, actor Pawan Kalyan's son. Interestingly, Allu Arjun's birthday too falls the same date. The actor felt happy to say that both were born the same day. "Akira is the star of the coming generation," he said. FC wishes both - Many Many Happy Returns of the Day.

Dasavataram audio on April 25th

Music of the much-publicized Kamal Hassan's ten-avatar starrer Dasavataram is going to release on April 25th, getting postponed from April 2nd. The delay is said to be change in the schedule of Jackie Chan, the chief guest of the proposed function. Sources said producer Oscar Ravi is insistent on getting the music released in the presence of the world action hero. The film is will be hitting the screens in the last week of May, said its Andhra Pradesh distributor. Apart from the 10 getups of Kamal, heroine Asin is playing dual role in the film.

Prabhas in Gowtham direction

Hero Prabhas is going to do a film in the direction of Gowtham Menon, who is known for his stylish action flicks like Gharshana (Kaka Kaka in Tamil). The new film in their combination will start in the coming months. Sources said Prabhas is desperate to act with Gowtham. Earlier, Prabhas tried for the project of remaking the underproduction Tamil film Varanam Ayiram (Suya Starrer in the direction of Gowtham) in Telugu. However, the remake and dubbing right holders didn't agree to let the project go. Now, the duo is going to pair with altogether a fresh action subject. Sanam Naga Ashok and Bhogavalli Prasad are the producers.

The political entry of megastar Chiranjeevi is almost finalized. His brother-in-law and producer Allu Arvind today hinted at this point at a press meet held at Chiranjeevi Eye and Blood Bank, Hyderabad. He reeled out the statistics with regard to the growth and development of the organization and records of its service in the specified fields. Later, replying to a volley of questions, Allu Arvind said: “At an appropriate time, mostly in a month or two, Chiranjeevi will announce his decision (about coming into politics) publicly. He is not a person who would take hasty decisions. He will definitely honor the public spirit and expectations. He knows the urge of his people. He holds very solid understanding of all the issues prevailing in society at present.” Asked about the launch of his political party, Arvind spoke calculatedly. “We are not responsible for any statements from any person that comes in the name of Megastar Chiranjeevi.” With this development, it is learnt that Chiru has reserved the occasion of announcing his political party only after the by-elections.

Homam: Mix of Action and Emotion

Homam, the film starring Jagapati Babu and Mamta Mohandas in the lead roles in the debut direction of actor JD Chakravarty, has finished of its shoot and gets ready for release. The audio is releasing today. Nitin Baba is the music director. A press meet was held at the office of Shreya Productions today. Hero Jagapati Babu, JD Chakravarty, Sakshi Sivanand (who did the item song) and producer Kiran Kumar spoke on this occasion.

JD Chakravarty: I know Jagapati Babu personally ever since I did his film Gayam, as an assistant director. I narrated the story of Homam to Jagapati Babu in just six minutes. Though he was reluctant to work with me initially, later he accepted the project and gave wonderful performance. The producer is a good friend of mine for the last 18 years. He extended the best of his cooperation, without which it would never have been possible to finish the movie successfully.”

Hero Jagapati Babu said: “I am doing the role of a police officer who is hand in glove with the mafia groups. I am thankful to one and all for their concerted efforts. When I heard the subject, I didn’t know that it was Chakri who would be directing it. When I came to know about this, I told him directly that working with him might lead to problems in future. Several people informed me that Chakri was arrogant. But, all of them proved wrong. He was a professional and knows his limitations and requirements. Chakri also has a superb musical sense. Sakshi’s performance as an item girl and Mamta’s role as heroine have come out well.”

Actress Sakshi Sivanand said: “I am happy to be working in Telugu film industry after a long gap. I wish my Telugu audiences a Very Happy Ugadi.”

Producer Kiran Kumar said: “I have been waiting for the opportunity to do a film with Chakri. I know his dedication and workaholic nature. The film is going to give full meals treatment to the audiences, with its full commercial elements.”

Highlight of Homam is that it is an action film with a lot of emotion. Dialogues are by Kona Venkat. Lyrics are by Suddala Ashok Teja. Bharani K. Dharan is the cinematographer.

Sushanth's Kalidasu ready for release

Sushanth, one more screen-heir of Dr. ANR, gets ready to hit the marquee in and as Kalidasu. Produced by Chintalapudi Srinivas and A. Naga Susheela, it is directed by debutant G. Ravicharan Reddy. Annapurna Studios presents the flick on the newly-floated Sri Nag Corporation banner. Producers of the film today briefed the media about the latest position of the film.

They said that Kalidasu would bring happiness to one and all. “We saw six series of the demos of Sushanth, after he got thoroughly trained in a Mumbai film institute. We are excited about his performance with multiple shades. After we finished the film, we got great confidence on the project. The hero in fact did perform as if he were six-movies old. Nagarjuna’s timely suggestions and timely planning of the schedules worked out well. As long as the shoot was going on, we didn’t feel any strain. Each of the six schedules lasted between 10 and 15 days, as against our original planning of finishing the project in three months. The subject of the film has social relevance. The students would identify them in the character of Kalidasu. There is good response to the songs, as each of the lyric has a concept and meaning. Director Ravicharan Reddy handled the project with dexterity thanks to his experience in the schools of Selvamani and Priyadharshan. Heroine Tamanna will carry forward the jolly mood with which she enthralled one and all – into Kalidasu.”

When asked about the newly-floated production house – Sri Nag Corporation – Srinivas said: “The banner has a specialty. While Nag comes from Nageswara Rao and Nagarjuna, just I affixed the first syllable of my name Sri to it. Kalidasu will be released through Suresh Productions. Nag suggested us to take up the publicity in a different style, which we did to good results. The advertisement campaign – Puli Raja ku Aids Vasthunda? – inspired us in this regard.”

Naga Susheela said: “As a mother, I tried to divert the attention of Sushanth from the film industry, but he couldn’t. Later, I was convinced with his interest and allowed him to enter the film industry.”

Pandurangadu press meet

On the auspicious day of Ugadi, Balakrishna and K Raghavendra Rao's Pandurangadu's first look was unveiled to the public. The first ever press meet of the film was held today (Monday, April 07, 2008) at Prasad Labs, Hyderabad and the event was telecast ‘live’ on news channels.

The film is based on the classic NTR's Panduranga Mahatyam and is produced by Krishnamohan Rao on RK Film Associates banner. Sneha and Tabu are the lead pair while Balakrishna does dual roles.

Hero Balakrishna, directors Raghavendra Rao and K Vishwanath, music director M M Keeravani, writer J K Bharavi, Sana, Suhasini (who plays the role of Satyabhama), Apoorva and others graced the ceremony.

It is challenge to do Pandurangadu: Balakrishna

"Raghavendra Rao gaaru directed excellent devotional films - Annamayya and Sri Ramadasu - in the past but Pandurangadu is different from them. For, Pandurangadu is based on hugely popular film done by my father Late NTR. It is a classic. So making this film is a challenge. Pandurangadu has similarities to that classic yet differs from it. We have Lord Krishna character and roles of Satyabhama, Rukhmini and Narada which you don't find in Panduranga Mahatyam. You would see Raghavendra Rao’s Midas Touch once again. He shot so beautifully," Balakrishna said.

He also informed that the audio will be released on April 27th at Panduranga Swamy temple near Munginapudi beach, Machilipatnam.

I am doing impossible task: K Vishwanath

Veteran director K Vishwanth does the role of Balakrishna's father in this movie. "The role is originally played by great actor Chittoor Nagaiah. I was offered to recreate the magic. It is really impossible task. It would be foolish to say that I would recreate what the great actor enacted but I tried my best not to spoil the character," Vishwanath said.

Producer Krishnamohan hoped that the film would become huge success. "On our RK Associates banner, we earlier made a film with Balayya - Apoorva Sahodarulu. It was a big success. We hope to repeat the same," he hoped.

Anushka reduces her remuneration

The Bangalore beauty, Anushka who gave successes like 'Vikramarkudu', and 'Lakshyam' which were small budget films, does not seem to have the same luck when it comes to big-budget films. 'Swagatham' and 'Don' her big banners have failed at the box office and her performance too in these films has received flak. The actress now is all set to amend her folly and get a taste of success and the first step towards growth that the actress has taken is to cut her remuneration by almost half. Well, hope the actress doubles her acting prowess too in her new projects

Rs 1.5 crore per episode!

Of late, Akshay Kumar has been giving Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan a good run for their money. He’s been running the race pretty arduously and is now fast closing in on the two Khans. So, obviously, the next step in his career is clear. If Salman Khan can do an upcoming reality show and SRK can do Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hain ? can Akshay Kumar be far behind? Come August, Akshay too will join the fray. He has been roped in to do the reality show Fear Factor .

What’s more, according to a reliable source in the TV industry, “Akshay will be paid Rs 1.5 crore per episode, which is more than what SRK is getting for Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hain ?” Incidentally Sallu has been booked for Rs 89 crore for 104 episodes. So far, we’ve been hearing about his big film deals, now there’s confirmation that he may yet overtake the Khan in price.

Akshay has given his nod to this action show which will require a lot of nerve. Our source adds, “In fact, Akki is extremely kicked about the whole thing, since Fear Factor is all about daredevilry and Akki simply loves all that. Things will start rolling in a month.”

YSR in and as Apthabandhuvu

An actor like Rajasekhar came to the film industry after successful stint as doctor in real life. There are some politicians who made their presence in Tollywood now and then. Latest, chief minister Dr. Rajasekhar Reddy is going to be act in a film titled Aptha Bandhuvu. Though he plays the real time role as chief minister on the big screen also, it is a guest role, sources said. But, the entire movie revolves round his role. Government’s advisor and prominent producer CC Reddy is producing this film, which will begin to its shoot in June. For this purpose, a special set is being erected at CM’s camp office. CC Reddy produced films like Mee Sreyobhilashi, Roommates and Gowtham SSC. Arun Prasad is said to be director.

Allu Arvind’s publicity craze

Allu Arvind, Geetha Arts proprietor and producer of Pawan Kalyan’s Jalsa, made big news thanks to his promotional strategies for the film. Arvind had thrown wades of cash for the publicity purpose, which he is said to have not done before. The film industry circles were puzzled when the producer turned crazy for film’s publicity. Megastar Chirajeevi himself said that he had not seen Arvind spending so much of money on publicity. Sources said 20% of the film’s budget went for this purpose towards mobile and online game launch and huge hoardings. As this film became crucial for Pawan Kalyan, who has no hit since Kushi (2001), the megastar directly appealed to the fans to make it a blockbuster. However, as per the preliminary reports, the movie received divide talk. The audiences who surged to the theatres for the morning and matinee shows were thinned for the next shows. The divide talk which spread like a wildfire was said to be the reason for this stalemate. It will take a couple of days to the settling of the prevailing talk.

Jalsa - Ist day record collections

All the hype and hoopla surrounded around Jalsa worked in its favor. The film took the Box-office by storm in its first day by setting new records. In Vijayawada, more than 1 lakh audiences had seen the movie on the first day there by setting an unprecedented record. A Telugu movie screened in 23 theatres in Vijayawada is also first time.

The film collects whopping 7.67 Crores on the first day (Gross), which is almost, equal to the percent of one week for normal big films.

Hero Ravi Teja demands 4 Crores!

Yet another star hikes his remuneration. After Srikanth and Ileana, it is turn of Ravi Teja to hike his paycheck. Ravi Teja who just delivered two hits in a row is now said to be demanding Rs 4 Crores per film.

He is now getting between Rs 2.5 Crores to Rs 3 Crores. The reason for his sudden demand is that he believes that all his films are now doing business close to Rs 16 Crores. So he needs bigger pie from the business and profits.

Homam audio to release in Cricket Stadium

Actor turned director J D Chekravarthy's latest Telugu film, Homam, will have the distinction of releasing music in a cricket stadium. Homam that stars Jagapathi Babu, JD and Mamta Mohandas in lead roles is slated for summer release and the music is launched on Sunday, April 6, 2008.

"We are conducting the function during the break when ICL League match is conducted at L B Stadium, Hyderabad. Homam is the first film in India to have this record," producer Kiran Kumar said.

Political dialogues censored in Jalsa!

Some of the dialogues that are politically sensitive in Jalsa have been chopped up by Censor Board. The deleted scenes that are shown at the theatres indicate that dialogues like referring ‘high command’ the film has some really politically charged words.

Insiders say even the Mallikarjuna Rao's (in the role of Home Minister) episode in the forest was forced to remove from the final version.

Even now, words like "Yuddham Lo Odinchandame Mukhyam. Champadam Kadu" are now seen in political perspective too.

In order to earn stardom, a film artiste had to struggle a lot. After acting in some 15-20 films and after putting up some 5 to 10 years of experience in the industry, a hero could get an image of his own. But in case of Pawan Kalyan, this proved wrong. It is not just because he is the brother of Mega Star Chiranjeevi. His style and performance earned him the name. Though his first two films went unnoticed, he bagged a hit with his third film ‘Suswagatham’. Next came a blockbuster called ‘Tholiprema’. With the fourth film itself he gained the star image. After some hiccups, ‘Badri’ stood a hit. Again he resurrected himself with another blockbuster in the form of ‘Khushi’, a sensational hit in his career. This film proved the range of Pawan Kalyan and kept him on a high pedestal. Again bad luck haunted him for some time. ‘Annavaram’ which was released at the end of 2006, gave him some solace. With Trivikram Srinivas wielding the megaphone, Pawan Kalyan came out with another hit in his career through ‘Jalsa’. It is really a gala time for his fans, as the film had all kinds of elements including excellent entertainment, coupled stylish action scenes, interlaced with love thread.

It is quite surprising to note that none of the films of Pawan Kalyan caused loss to the buyers, distributors and exhibitors. Though the films get a flop talk or average and above average talk, none of his films were commercially flops. His fans continued to give him an undaunted support irrespective of the hit or flop talk. ‘Badri’ got a flop talk but it ran a silver jubilee. Most of his fans are youth and college-going students and this was the reason for fantastic openings for all his films.

Coming to ‘Jalsa’, Sanjay Sahu @ Sanjay (Pawan Kalyan) is the son of a poor farmer. While his brother died in an early age with a heart disease, his parents commit suicide after a crop loss. This forces him to take a decision to retaliate against the society and he joins Naxalites. After a fierce encounter, Sanjay surrenders to police and continues his education. He falls in love with a police officer’s (Prakash Raj) daughter Indu (Kamalini Mukherjee). He could not convince the police officer and Indu gets married to an NRI. Again, Jyotsna @ Joe (Parvati Melton) and Bhagmati @ Baagi (Ileana) enter into his life. While Sanjay rejects Joe outrightly, Baagi makes several attempts to win his love and finally succeeds. But her father did not accept the alliance, as he knows well that Sanjay is a former Naxalite. At this juncture, Damodar Reddy (Mukhesh Rushi) enters the scene as he bores grudge against Sanjay for thrashing his second son. Damodar Reddy puts a spot to Baagi and fixes her marriage with his second son. Did he succeed in performing the marriage? How Sanjay stopped that marriage? How Sanjay was able to express his love towards Baagi. Did Baagi’s father accept their marriage or not? Answers to all these questions form part of the climax.

Pawan Kalyan gave an excellent performance after a long time. He really reminded his fans the days of ‘Khushi’ and ‘Tholiprema’ in this movie. His attire everything were very simple and resembled a true college student. His comedy timing was exceptional. Really he made the audiences burst into laughter with his hilarious comedy in the entire first half. However, director Trivikram loosened his grip on the character for quite some time in the second half, but the hero turned powerful in the climax.

Ileana, Unlike her previous films, the director did not try to portray her as a glamour doll by exposing her belly button or waist. Colors Swathi voice suits her well. Her character was quite modest and she is very homely in the film with a girl in the next-door kind of image. Parvati Milton went a little overboard with her sex appeal and oomph dress and dance. Kamalini appears only in a couple of scenes and has not much role. Mukhesh Rushi as a powerful factionist justified his role. Especially, the director chose a stylish taking of scenes involving even the villain, without going for unnecessary and unwanted scenes. Prakash Raj, Ali, Sunil, Uttej and others did justice to their respective roles. Again it is Brahmanamdam who stole the show with good comedy.

Devisri Prasad, who scored music for the first time to Pawan Kalyan gave rocking tunes to all the songs. The audio remained a chartbuster for the past few weeks and almost all the FM channels continue to play the songs, which made them further popular. When it comes to choreography, not all the songs but only few were shot well. The first song in the film was adequate. Srikar Prasad's editing was crisp.

As far as action scenes, they were in true style of Trivikram Srinivas. Action scenes choreographed by Vijay were a little stylish. Camera work by Guhan and Rasool is first-rate. Director Trivikram Srinivas, who shouldered the responsibility of providing story, dialogues, screenplay and direction, succeeded in each department in parts. While the dialogues with a comedy touch were outstanding, the emotional dialogues before the interval bang was quite lengthy and powerful. Maheshbabu’s voice over is another highlight of the movie.

Though the film opened with above average talk, the success of the audio may drive people into theatres and it is beyond doubt that the openings would be extraordinary like all the earlier Pawan Kalyan’s films. No Doubt, Jalsa is the youthful film coupled with good entertainment and time pass during this summer.

Charmi does her own stunts

Producers P. Mahesh Babu and D. Nageswar Rao were all praises for their heroine, Charmi “without the need for any dupes Charm1 herself did all the stunts especially in the sequence in which she was riding a bike.” The film, a bilingual being made in Tamil and Telugu, is a collaboration of Cosmic Entertainments and Future Films and is directed by Tamil director Prabhu Solomon. Another song will be canned and it will star most of the film’s cast. Illeana cried in TV program

Ileana- the leading heroine of Tollywood was invited to a program ‘Spandinche Hrudayam’ organized by TV9. She interacted with the orphans in that program. After hearing to the problems that are face by those orphans, Ileana literally cried on the occasion. She couldn’t control her emotions when the orphan children opened up their problems to Ileana.

Trisha ready for bikini !
Bikini is the dress of heroines by which all beauty of parts of her body can be seen easily, before heroines never used to accept this offer but Nayanatara has changed this trend and acted in flick ‘Billa‘ with bikini. This has created lot of talk in the industry and even there was news that her bikini was sold for Rs.2 lakhs. With the market this bikini brought her, even other heroines started thinking on her lines. When asked same with Trisha according to film nagar sources - she stated that so far she didn‘t get any offers like so, if it comes then she would surely think over it. Hence this means that she has something in mind.

Ileana to replace Tamanna
Ileana who shot to instant fame in Tollywood thanks to her brilliant performance and hour-glass figure is likely to replace Tamanna in a film, starring Allu Arjun as hero with Sukumar as its director. Sources said though the director had almost finalized Tamanna for his project, later he preferred to drop the idea after the photo-shoot of the heroine as Tamanna does seem to fit into the characterization of the heroine in his mind.

If Ileana could replace Tamanna, she would be playing the heroine for another hero from the Megastar's troupe, first one being none other than Pawan Kalyan. To note here, Sukumar introduced Anu Mehta in Allu Arjun starrer Aarya, followed by another debut heroine Isha in Jagadam opposite hero Ram. While Anu Mehta faded into the oblivion, there is no trace of a heroine like Isha existed on the Tollywood screen. It seems Sukumar has come to know about the value of hero's better half for the audiences.

Can girls and baddies lure audience?
Number game always played a major role on big screen entertainment. Some directors try it with the number of heroines in their films like Rajamouli in Yamadonga – with almost six heroines – three (Preeti Jhangyani, Navneet Kaur and Veda) to play the roles of Rambha, Urvasi and Menaka, one to play an item song (Rambha) and two as regular heroines (Priyamani and Mamta Mohandas). Kucheludu is another film which is coming up with five heroines sharing steps with superstar Rajnikanth. Now, director Meher Ramesh plays a strategy with four villains in Kantri, starring NTR. The villains are – Prakash Raj, Ashish Vidyarthi, Sayaji Shinde and Murali Sharma. The last one plays the main lead villain. He had earlier done the anti-job in Athidi, Mahesh starrer. Though Murali Sharma is a Bollywood figure, he has some amount of fluency and comprehension of Telugu. Already the music of Kantri is making swirling rounds all over the state.

M S Raju to produce Balayya's next?
Producer M S Raju had enjoyed cult status until a few years ago. He made stars (Prabhas, Siddardh, Trisha), introduced directors and technicians (Prabhudeva, V N Aditya, Shoban, Devi Sri Prasad) and gave life to some others.

He was revered in awe. But his recent flops and failing in his maiden directorial venture changed everything. M S Raju who was once hailed for guts to tread different path has called off all his productions and is planning to bounce back with a big-budget movie. Hence, he has reportedly tied up with director Gunashekar who delivered biggest blockbuster - Okkadu.

Both Gunashekar and M S Raju need a big hit to revive their lost glory and they joined hands again to weave magic on silver screen. Buzz is that hero Balakrishna who immensely liked Gunashekar's script has finally given nod to this project. Earlier Gunashekar planned this film with another producer but Balayya was not convinced then. With M S Raju stepping into this, the film seems to be materializing.

Sources say, a formal announcement will be made in this regard on May 10th, coinciding with M S Raju's birthday.

Prabhass ‘Bujjigadu’ audio in April 2nd week
With ‘Varsham’ the combination of Prabhas and Trisha was proved a hit. The same combination is again repeating for ‘Bujjigadu’ (Made in Chennai) produced by KS Rama Rao on the banner of Creative Commercials, under the direction of Puri Jagannath. Presently the film is shooting its climax. Speaking on the occasion, Puri Jagannath says, ‘We are planning to launch the audio in the second week of April and release the film in the first week of May as a summer gift.

Basically, the film will be a love subject with a mass touch. It would be big entertainer and we are confident that the film would earn a good name to Prabhas and remain a good hit in his career. At the same time, the film would earn good revenues and become a commercial hit for the banner. The character played by Mohanbabu would remain a highlight in the movie, and would stand as an asset for the success of the flick.’ Sandeep Chowtha is scoring music for the flick while Sanjana is playing another female lead.

Will Jalsa beat Pokiri!

Lo and behold, Jalsa is very clearly spicing up the filmy atmosphere. If the film meets the huge hype created, then surely the producers of Jalsa will laugh all thier way to the bank. The question that arises now is, how much will the film garner, will it be bigger than Pokiri? Will Jalsa surge ahead pushing back Pokiri's collections?

The film will be hitting screens on April 2nd. The craze and hungama is mounting with each passing day. Newspapers are carrying special pullouts and news channels are beaming programs. Trade pundits predict now that if the film gets talk in the range of 'above average' to 'hit', Jalsa will redefine the Telugu men’s potentiality. Some further add that if there is any film that has potential to beat the record set by Mahesh Babu's Pokiri that collected more than Rs 50 Crores, it ought to be this extravagant Jalsa.

Pawan has not had any hits of late. His last hit film was Khushi. But Pawan's films never ran on loss, his so-called dud collected between Rs 15 to 20 crore. "If a flop film collects such revenues, imagine if Jalsa gets hit talk what would be its range. I am sure it will beat Pokiri's records," said Srinivas, a fan.

It remains to be seen whether it would cross the collections of Pokiri that made the entire nation sit up and notice our Telugu Cinema potentiality.

Interestingly, Mahesh Babu too has a role in this film as he lent voiceover to the movie. So in a way he will be sharing the credit too, if it breaks the records. Lets hope Jalsa breaks the records and also Pawan's jinx.
