1 Cr stage for Dasavataram music

Rs. 1 Crore worth stage is getting ready in Chennai for the Music launch of Kamal Hassan’s Rs. 75 Cr-budget film Dasavataram. The Telugu and Tamil versions of the audio will be releasing on April 2nd. The film’s producer Oscar Ravi Chandran confirmed that Jackie Chan is gracing the occasion as the chief guest to release the audio. Directed by KS Ravi Kumar, the film also marks Himesh Reshammiya’s debut in the South as music director. The film will be released worldwide in April last. “It will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi simultaneously. The number of prints and publicity campaigns are being worked out. Dasavatharam is one of the most anticipated films this year. The movie will not only see Kamal Haasan playing 10 different characters, but actress Asin also plays dual roles, Ravi Chandran said.

Prabhas loses 10,000 Elephants
Man proposes, God disposes. This way, Prabhas tried his level best to get into the shoes of Tamil hero Suryah, but it still remains a dream to the actor.

Reliable sources told that Prabhas showed a sea of interest to do the remake to Tamil film Vaaranam Ayiram (10,000 Elephants), which is under production and set for release in June. Prabhas is said to have watched some vital scenes in the film, besides having in-depth knowledge of the story, screenplay and takings of Gowtham Menon. Before Gowtham could get it for Prabhas as straight Telugu film, a production house in Hyderabad, known for its dubbed versions of highly successful Tamil films, has obtained the remake and dubbed rights of the film from producer Oscar Ravichandran.

It is learnt that Gowtham Menon and producer BVN Prasad (producer of Chatrapati) have repeatedly exerted much pressure on the rights' holders to give up the project, but in vain.

This Tamil film happens to be a Rs 25 Cr-budget film, the highest in the career of Gowtham Menon and hero Suryah too. Earlier, Suryah's Gazani was received well all over AP as if it had been a Telugu straight film. This confidence is believed to be the reason for not letting the project go in favour of Prabhas for a straight.

The film is shot extensively in Afghanistan, Russia and Australia as part of the story and songs as well. It has three heroines - Sameera Reddy, Ramya and Simran. Music is by Harris Jayraj.

Princely voiceover for Jalsa
Prince Mahesh Babu contributed his base voice for voice over in the film Jalsa, starring Pawan Kalyan, in the direction of Trivikram Srinivas and Allu Arvind producing it. Sources said the recording was done in Chennai. This voiceover strategy by prominent personalities became a significant step in the present day films, after Prakash Raj did it for Vishnu-Mohan Babu’s film Game. Meanwhile, Jalsa is all set for release on March 28th, against rumors that it might be postponed to April. Sources said, Mahesh accepted to give his voiceover on the request of Allu Arvind and Trivikram Srinivas, who earlier directed Athadu with the young superstar.
