When Two Giants meet for Guru

Versatile screen-king Kamal Hassan is likely to co-star superstar Rajnikanth in the film Kuchelan (Kucheludu in Telugu). The Tamil version is produced by Balachander, guru-like figure to both Rajni and Kamal. This is said to be a key role. Both are said to have agreed to jointly perform in the film out of huge regard they have for Balachander. Though the two giants costarred in a good number of films during the initial days of their career, later they became poles apart in screen-life. If they come together again after more than two decades, it would sure bring jubilation to fans of both, besides enhancing the entertainment levels to the clouds.

Kamalinee’s passion for direction
Actress Kamalinee Mukherjee earned a special name for herself in the Telugu film industry with her successful films Anand and Godavari. Though a Northerly figure, she is widely appreciated for bringing in the Telugu nativity. Despite this, the commercial image is still eluding her. Never minding this, the young girl cherishes a strong ambition to become a director. Of course, a heroine becoming a director is the rarest phenomenon. We have only two known cases in Telugu – Vijaya Nirmala and Jeevita. Kamalinee spends a good amount of time on penning some lyrics. The same moods she likes to transform into a pucca script fit for a movie. “Certainly, I will do this. It might take a decade or more. By that time, I would have married and with kids. I would also be free from household pressures.” A very long wait, indeed!

Sada lurking for chances
Everybody thought actress Sada’s career graph would touch the skies after Aparichitudu. Though the film became a hit in Telugu (and non-performer in Tamil), it didn’t help her resurrect her lost glory, which she bagged with debut film Jayam. Now, she is busy with a couple of projects in Bollywood – Love Kichdi and Khal Bali Hi Khal Bali. However, she denies that she has gone far away from Tollywood. “When success gripped me after Jayam, offers poured in and kept me busy. As there is a gap now, I am doing in Bollywood. If I get opportunities again, I am ever ready to do Telugu films,” Sada maintains.
